The Color of Music Mural - March 30, 2010

Note: MT Robison & The Messengers will be at the festival Sunday about 2PM for photos.
RIVERSIDE, CA- Riverside resident and mural artist Linda Shrader, will paint a Larger Than Life Mural exhibition at the Indian Wells Arts Festival scheduled for Easter Weekend, April 2, 3, & 4, 2010 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, CA.
The 10 X 32 foot mural, titled The Color Of Music, is a featured exhibition at the festival, painted start-to-finish during the 3-day festival. Three artists, Echo and Piper Robison, and Gabriella Evaro will assist Shrader.
“The mural project is a favorite of Festival attendees,” says Dianne Funk, festival producer. “People enjoy watching the large work in progress, and having their questions answered.”
Shrader is an advocate of art-in-schools and public art programs, as well as promoting art and culture as an economic engine. Her murals embellish buildings, community centers, and many schools in Southern CA.
“My inspiration for this mural is the colorful Southern rock and dirty slide-guitar blues of MT Robison & The Messengers,” says Shrader, “When I listen to MT’s songs, the stories take me places… I see images andI tried to capture some of those images in my mural.”
MT Robison, and his band, The Messengers are also Riverside residents. They recently signed a recording contract and are currently recording their second album titled Grace, due to be released early 2011, followed by touring. MT Robison will be headlining a show at Mission Tobacco Lounge, downtown Riverside, Apr. 3, 2010.
