MT, playing music since age 11 and writing original songs by age 13
Started making money playing in a cover band age 16-19
Age 20, moved to LA and formed an original rock band.
Gangster- a rock band with a huge following lasted about 9 years and attracted the interest of Warner Bros. and then imploded as bands tend to do.
In the years that followed, MT formed many bands, some in which he sang lead, and some that featured other lead singers, but he always wrote all the songs. MT opened for well-known bands including Vixen, Great White, Blue Oyster Cult, Tracy Guns of Guns ‘n Roses, Night Ranger, and played music festivals in Europe
MT formed a pop-rock band with keyboard master and music director Alex Alessandroni (MD for Bobby Brown, Pink, Christina Aguilera just to mention a few), featuring a female lead singer, and played heavily in LA that attracted the attention of Randy Jackson. With circumstances beyond MT's control, once again... another band implosion. Don't you just hate it when that happens?
MT Robison and The Messengers are here to stay. MT has finally learned how to just be himself and bring his whole self, including his heart, to center stage.
His latest album, PROMISE, is getting airplay in the US, Europe, Australia, and more. MT is one of the most loved musicians on myspace, and is on the Myspace Top Artists Charts at #3 in Americana, #7 in Blues, and #11 in Southern rock.
Writing the best songs of his life, and preparing for the next album, MT is having the time of his life making his music for all the right reasons…
